Las salidas 7.1 Preamp Out del panel trasero sirven para conectar
amplificadores de potencia externos por medio de cables RCA.
En configuraciones 5.1 / 6.1 / 7.1, vaya al menú OSD, seleccione la
opción "Pre Out" del menú "Output Setup" y cambie el valor a "Pre Out"
en lugar de "Normal". De este modo silenciará todos los amplificadores
de potencia internos, ya que no se van a utilizar.
El 640R también dispone de un modo de 2 canales externos. Esto
permite al 640R reproducir todos los canales de sonido envolvente de
un material fuente adecuado (central, laterales y traseros y subwoofer),
mientras los altavoces delanteros izquierdo y derecho reciben la señal
de un amplificador de potencia externo u otro amplificador capaz de
mantener entradas de nivel fijo (por ejemplo, los amplificadores 740A u
840A de Cambridge Audio).
En el menú OSD, cambie el valor de "Preamp Out" a "Ext 2 Ch" para
silenciar sólo las salidas delanteras izquierda y derecha del
amplificador:

Entrada directa 5.1 / 6.1 / 7.1
Es posible conectar reproductores DVD-A o SACD al 640R a través de
sus entradas directas 5.1 / 6.1 / 7.1, que permiten reproducir música
multicanal de estas nuevas fuentes.
Tanto DVD-A como SACD admiten la salida 5.1. Las entradas directas
del 640R también admiten la conexión opcional de altavoz trasero o de
altavoces laterales izquierdo y derecho para asegurar la compatibilidad
con futuras fuentes 6.1 o 7.1 o descodificadores externos.
Para seleccionar la entrada directa, pulse el botón "7.1 Direct" del panel
frontal o del mando a distancia.
Nota:
Estas conexiones son analógicas puras para obtener la máxima
calidad de sonido y no es posible realizar procesado DSP ni ajuste de
graves y agudos con el 640R.
