1.1 General considerations
About this chapter
Read this chapter attentively. It contains important information to prevent personal injury while installing and using
your PRESENT series projector. Furthermore, it includes several cautions to prevent damage to your PRESENT
series projector. Ensure that you understand and follow all safety guidelines, safety instructions and warnings
mentioned in this chapter before installing and using the PRESENT series projector. After this chapter, additional
“warnings” and “cautions” are given depending on the procedure. Read and follow these “warnings” and “cautions”
as well.
Purpose of this device:
The exclusive purpose of this device is to project images onto a screen in an indoor environment.

Important safety instructions y
The projector is a Class 2 laser device that conforms with IEC 60825-1:2007 and CFR 1040.10 and 1040.11 y
Class 2 laser product. Do not stare into Beam.
This projector has built-in Class 4 laser module. Disassembly or modication is very dangerous and should y
never be attempted.
Any operation or adjustment not specically instructed by the user’s guide creates the risk of hazardous laser y
radiation exposure.
Do not open or disassemble the projector as this may cause damage by the exposure of laser radiation. y
Do not stare into beam when the projector is on. The bright light may result in permanent eye damage. y
Without following the control, adjustment or operation procedure may cause damage by the exposure of laser y
radiation.
