EMERGENCY MODE
MODALITA’ DI EMERGENZA
Each channel is provided with an “intelligent” protection circuit, that
continuously checks the output current. The current limit is fairly high,
allowing the amplifier to reach clipping even on a 4 Ohm load. Thus,
during normal listening, the protection circuit is inactive. Light current
overloads are managed by reducing the current output, while severe
overloads cause the protection to disconnect the corresponding output,
and the channel to enter in “emergency” mode, that can only be reset
by turning the amplifier off. If, during a listen session, should the protection
circuit activate, thus causing one or more leds to blink red, turn the
amplifier off, and after few seconds turn the amplifier on again.
If, after power-up, one or more leds start blinking red, then either a fault
in the amplifier circuit or a short-circuit on the speaker outputs is present.
Turn the amplifier off, carefully check for poor or shorted cable
connections on the speaker outputs and turn the amplifier on again. If
the leds still blink, turn the amplifier off and contact your Audio
Analogue dealer for servicing. Also, if all leds remain off after powering
the unit, turn the amplifier off and contact your Audio Analogue
dealer.
Un circuito “intelligente” di protezione controlla continuamente la corrente
di uscita su ogni canale. Il limite di corrente è decisamente elevato, e
permette di raggiungere il clipping anche su un carico di 4 Ohm. Così,
durante un normale ascolto le protezioni rimangono inattive. I leggeri
sovraccarichi sono gestiti limitando la corrente in uscita, mentre i
sovraccarichi più pesanti vengono evitati scollegando l’ uscita del
diffusore collegato al canale interessato, ed attivando la modalità
“emergenza” per quel canale, che può essere disattivata unicamente
spegnendo e riaccendendo l’amplificatore. Se, durante una sessione
di ascolto, si dovessero attivare le protezioni di uno o più canali con
l’attivazione del modo “emergenza”, spegnete l’amplificatore, e dopo
pochi secondi riaccendete l’amplificatore.Se, dopo il power-up iniziale,
uno o più led dovessero lampeggiare in rosso, allora si è verificato un
guasto nell’amplificatore oppure è presente un cortocircuito sulle uscite
degli altoparlanti. Spegnete l’amplificatore, controllate le connessioni
dei cavi dei diffusori e riaccendete l’amplificatore. Se i led lampeggiano
ancora , spegnete l’amplificatore e contattate il vostro rivenditore Audio
Analogue. Se, all’accensione dell’apparecchio, tutti i led dovessero
rimanere spenti, contattate il vostro rivenditore Audio Analogue
Long and exhaustive listening tests have shown that the best sonic
performance is obtained after a "burn-in" period of at least 100 hours.
Once the unit is fully "burnt-in", best sound quality can be obtained after
about 40 minutes warming up. The preamplifier’s low power consumption
makes leaving it continuously switched on possible so that it will always
be ready to give its best. We advise to turn the unit off everytime a risk
of damage arises (mains survoltages, lightnings) or when it’s not used
for long.
Lunghe e complete prove d'ascolto hanno dimostrato che le migliori
prestazioni sonore si otterranno dopo un periodo di "rodaggio" di almeno
100 ore. Una volta completato il "rodaggio", la miglior qualità d'ascolto
può essere ottenuta dopo circa 40 minuti di "riscaldamento". Il basso
consumo del preamplificatore rende agevole la possibilità di lasciarlo
sempre acceso in maniera da trovarlo sempre pronto a dare il massimo.
Consigliamo comunque di spegnere l'apparecchio quando si presenta
la possibilità di danni derivati da sovratensioni sulla rete di alimentazione
(fulmini) oppure quando non viene utilizzato per lunghi periodi.
