BACKUP FUNCTION
If the AC power supply is interrupted, the clock display goes off
and the alarm setting is cancelled. To back up the clock and
alarm setting, install a 6F22 battery in the battery compartment
on the bottom of the unit.
The backup function lasts about 80 days. Set the clock again if
the memory for the clock is lost.
Note
The backup battery is not for radio reception or CD operation.
Replacing the battery
Replace the battery with a new one if the clock display flashes or
the alarm timer does not work properly when you connect the
AC power cord again.
Notes on battery
•When you are not going to use the unit for a long period of
time, remove the battery to prevent possible electrolyte leakage.
•To prevent the risk of electrolyte leakage or explosions, never
recharge the battery, apply heat to it, or take it apart.
If erroneous operation or display occurs or there is no
response when you press any buttons
Reset the unit by pressing RESET on the bottom with a thin rod
with the AC power cord connected to a wall outlet.
When the unit is reset, operation stops and power is turned off.
Clock, alarm settings and stations that you preset are retained.
