Installation Directory
– Location on PC where Management Software resides.
The default
installation directory is C:\Program Files\Advantech\Whirlpool
Advantech.
Interval Audit – Cycle and vend history that is tracked from the time of the last
machine audit.
Management Password – Password used to access the Management Software.
Open-Access Mode
– Initial mode of the Handheld Software on the PDA. Offers
a limited number of utilities to be performed.
Owner ID – ID that is setup upon first entry into the Management Software. This
ID prevents unauthorized access to laundry machines by PDAs that are not
given access.
Palm
™
Software – Software needed to be installed on the PC in order for
communication to take place between the PC and the PDA.
PC – Personal computer.
PDA – Personal Digital Assistant or handheld. Used in reference to a Palm
™
device or similar machine.
Reinitialization – Returns the machine to its original factory specifications.
Service Person ID – ID used to control access to Handheld Software.
Service Switch – See Service Tech Sheet or Service Manual/Job Aid for more
details.
Software Update Password – Password provided by Whirlpool Corporation to
be used when installing new control software on a laundry machine.
Stylus – Pen-like device, provided with Palm
™
handheld, to be used to enter
information into the Palm
™
handheld.
Synced Mode – Mode of the Handheld Software after it is initially downloaded
via the HotSync
®
process to the Management Software. All utilities are available
in this mode.
Upload – Transfer of data from laundry machine to Palm
™
handheld or Palm
™
handheld to PC.
