To place a call with the phone closed:
1. Make sure your phone is on and the Side Key Guard feature is
disabled. (See “Setting the Side Key Guard” on page 48.)
2. Press and hold the Side Volume key on the left side of the
phone.
3. Follow the system prompts and say the name of your
registered voice dial tag (see the note below).
The call will be made in speakerphone mode unless you have a
headset or other accessory attached to the phone.
Note: To use a voice dial, you must have stored voice dial tags. (See
“Using Voice-Activated Dialling” on page 82.)
To redial with the phone closed:
1. Press and hold the Side Volume key. (The name
corresponding to the last dialled number and the number will
be displayed on the Outer Screen if the name and the number
have been stored in your Contacts.)
2. Press the Side Volume key.
Dialling Options
Dialling options are displayed when you press Options (right
softkey) after entering numbers in standby mode:

Contacts Match to place a call using the Contacts Match
feature. (See “Setting Contacts Match” on page 47 and “Using
Contacts Match” on page 24.)

Call to dial the phone number.

Call:Speaker On to dial the phone number in speakerphone
mode.

Send Message to send a text message (see page 100) or a
picture message (see page 116).

Save Phone# to save the phone number in your Contacts. (See
“Saving a Phone Number” on page 22.)

Find to display Contacts entries that end with the digits you
entered (at least four digits). (See “Finding a Phone Number”
on page 23.)

Hard Pause to insert a hard pause. (See “Dialling and Saving
Phone Numbers With Pauses” on page 23.)
