To install software patches
This patch fix miscellaneous shutdown/suspend/resume issues.
1. Double-click on 4756US8.EXE in the QFE\SHUTDOWN subdirectory.
2. Click Yes to install the Windows 98 SE Q239887 Update.
3. Click Yes to accept agreement. Patch will install.
4. Click Yes to reboot.
This patch fixes an issue of where the MIDI device is unable to play after hot docking,
inserting a PC Card, or disabling/re-enabling devices in Device Manager. The patch can
be found in \HP\DRIVERS\QFE\MIDI.
1. Double-click on 247396US8.EXE in the QFE\MIDI subdirectory.
2. Click Yes to install the Windows 98 SE Q247396 Update.
3. Click Yes to accept agreement. Patch will install.
4. Click Yes to reboot.
This patch fixes a docking issue where a blue screen happens when docking and
undocking the notebook. The patch can be found in
\HP\DRIVERS\QFE\DOCKING\247177. QFE 269388usa8 also required.
1. Double-click on 247177US.EXE in QFE\DOCKING\247177.
2. Click Yes to install the Windows 98 SE Q247177 Update.
3. Click Yes to accept agreement. Patch will install.
4. Click Yes to reboot.
