the title, artist, and album information of the song on
a PC using a suitable application.
Some unknown characters are displayed on the dis-
play panel.
e If the file information uses Japanese, Chinese or other
double-byte characters, playback is possible but the
name will not be shown correctly.
iPod/Phone/iPad
The following explanations refer to an iPod, but they also
apply to use with an iPhone or iPad.
iPod will not work.
e Disconnect the iPod cable, wait a few seconds, and
then connect the iPod again.
e A software update might solve the problem. Visit the
Apple website and download the latest iPod Software.

e In iPod mode, no sound is output from the PHONES
jack.
Radio
Cannot listen to any station or the signal is too weak.

position.
e
If the signal is weak, you will need to use an outdoor
antenna (commercially available) (pages 12 and 13).
Bluetooth
The sound breaks up or there is noise.
e
If there is a device that generates electromagnetic waves
in the 2.4 GHz band, such as a microwave oven or wire-
less LAN equipment, nearby it could affect the unit.
Locate the unit away from such devices or stop using
them.
Transmission is interrupted.
e The connected Bluetooth device might be too far away
from the unit. The approximate Bluetooth transmission
distance of this unit is 10 m (33 ft) without obstructions.
e Confirm that there are no obstacles between this unit
and the Bluetooth device.
Pairing fails.
e Confirm that the Bluetooth device you want to connect
supports A2DP or AVRCP.
e Confirm that the Bluetooth device you want to connect
is able to transmit.
You might need to turn on or otherwise enable the
Bluetooth function of the Bluetooth device. For details,
see the operation manual of your Bluetooth device.
Since this unit uses a microcontroller, external noise
and other interference can cause the unit to malfunc-
tion. If this should occur, unplug the unit's power
from the outlet and wait a little while before plug-
ging the power in again and retrying the operation.
If the unit still does not function properly after doing
this, follow the procedures in the next section to
restore the unit to its factory default settings.
