4. Press the MULTI JOG dial on the main unit or the
ENTER key on the remote control.
The current disc title is shown in the character display
area, and title editing mode is activated (the cursor
blinks).
NOTE
If there is no title, nothing is shown (except for the
blinking cursor).
5. Follow the guidelines in the “Title input method”
section below to add a title, and then press the MENU
key on the main unit or the remote control to confirm
it.
6. Eject the MD.
CAUTION
When using a disc with groups set, turn group mode
•
ON when adding titles. If you change the disc title
while group mode is OFF, the group settings could be
lost.
After setting a title, if you turn the power OFF with
•
the MD still loaded ("TOC" lit), the U–TOC will not be
recorded and the title will be lost. Ejecting the MD
disc causes the unit to write data to the U–TOC, so
always eject the disc once after adding titles.
Adding track titles
1. With playback stopped, press the EDIT key on the
main unit or the remote control.
2. Use the MULTI JOG dial on the main unit or the
+/– keys on the remote control to select “TITLE
INPUT?”
3. Press the MULTI JOG dial on the main unit or the
ENTER key on the remote control.
“Title> Disc” appears on the display.
TIP
Instead of steps 1 and 2 in the above procedures, you can
press the TITLE key on the remote control. "Title> Disc"
appears on the display in the same way.
4. Use the MULTI JOG dial on the main unit or the +/–
keys on the remote control to select the track that
you want to title.
For example, set “Title> 3” to select track 3.
5. Press the MULTI JOG dial on the main unit or the
ENTER key on the remote control.
The current track title is shown in the character display

6. Enter a title following the guidelines in the “Title

group number).
4. Press the MULTI JOG dial on the main unit or the
ENTER key on the remote control.
The current group title is shown in the character display
area, and title editing mode is activated (the cursor
blinks). In addition, the group number blinks in the
track number display area.
5. Enter a title following the guidelines in the “Title
input method” section above, and press the MENU
key on the main unit or the remote control to
confirm.
