Other Operations
The SET UP button allows you to make following
adjustments.
Adjusting the brightness of the display
1 Press SET UP repeatedly until “DSPL SET UP”
appears in the display.
2 Press the cursor buttons ( / ) to select
“DIMMER.”
3 Press the cursor buttons ( / ) to select the
brightness level.
You can select any of four brightness levels.
Displaying the operating status of the
component connected to the S-LINK CTRL
A1 jack (STR-DE625 (USA, Canada, and
Australia) only)
1 Press SET UP repeatedly until “DSPL SET UP”
appears in the display.
2 Press the cursor buttons ( / ) until “CTRL.A1”
appears in the display.
3 Press the cursor buttons ( / ) to select the
setting.
To Select
Display “PLAY,” “STOP,” “PAUSE,”
“REC,” or the contents of a disc or track
memo of a CD or MD for about 8 seconds
each time you change the operation mode
ON
Turn off the operation status display OFF
Notes
• This setting is effective only when the receiver is set to TAPE/
MD, VIDEO 2, or CD (see page 20). For VIDEO 2, the CD
changer command mode must be “CD 2” and the CD changer
must be connected to the VIDEO 2 jacks on the receiver. For
CD, the CD changer command mode must be “CD 1” and the
CD changer must be connected to the CD jacks on the receiver.
• If the disc or track memo contains a character that the receiver
cannot display, “.” appears for that character.
• When the Mega Control function of the CD player is active, the
operating status of the main player is displayed.
Increasing the output level of the rear
speakers by 5 dB
1 Press SET UP repeatedly until “REAR GAIN” appears
in the display.
2 Press the cursor buttons ( / ) to select “GAIN
UP.”
To restore the normal output level
Repeat the procedure above, selecting “GAIN NORM” in
Step 2.
