On operating voltage
Before operating the system, check that the operating
voltage of your syslem is identical wfih the vo fi_ge of
your local power supply.
On safety
• The unit is nol disconnected from the AC power
source (mains) as long as it is connected to tile wall
outlet, even if the unit itself has been turned off'.
• Unplug the system from the wall outlel 0nains) if it
is not to be used for an extended period of time. To
disconnect _he power cord (m_ins le_d), pull it out by
the plug. Never pull the cord itselt_
• Should any solid ol_iect or liquid IMI into tile system,
unplug the system and have it checked by qualified
personnel before oper_fing it any further.
• AC power cord musl he changed only at the quafified
service shop.
On placement
• DO no1 place the system in an inclined position.
• Do no1 place the system in locations where it is;

Dusly or dirty
Very humid
Sul_iect to vibrations
Sul_iect to direct sunlight.
• Use caution when placing the unit or speakers on
surfaces that have been specially treated (with wax,
oil, polish, etc.) as staining or discolorafion of the
surface may result.
On heat buildup
• Although the system heats up during operation, this
is l/or a real ftlnction.
• Place tile system in a location with odequale
ventil_fion to prevent heal buildup in the system.
• Ifyou conrinuously use this syslem _1a high volume,
the cabinet temperature of lhe top, side and bottom
rises considerably. To avoid burning yourself, do not
touch the cabinet.
• To prevent amM funcfion, do nol cover the
ventil_fion hole for the cooling Pan.
On operation
• If the system is brought directly from a cold to a
warm Iocarion, or is placed in a very damp room,
moisture may condense on the lens inside the CD
player. Should _his occur, the system will ]lot operate
properly. Remove the disc and leave tl/e ,system
turned on for aboul an hour until the moisture
evaporates.
• When you move tfie system, take oul any disc.

Notes on discs
• Be_bre playing, clean the disc with a cleaning cloth.
Wipe tile disc from tile center out.
• Do not expose tile disc to direct starlight or heat
sources such as hot _ir ducts, nor leave it in a car
p_rked in direct starlight.
• When using discs that have glue or similar tacky
subslance on _he I_be[ side of the disc or that used a
special ink when the IMpel was printed, there is a
chance that lhe disc or label may become _ttached to
p_r_s inside this unit. When this occurs, it mgy nol be
possible to remove the disc, and moy also cause this
mrit to malfunction. Be sure to check that tile label
side of the disc is not sticky before using.
The fbllowing types of disc should not be used:
Rental or used discs with attached seals where the
glue extends beyond file seal. The perimeler of the
seal on the disc is tacky.
Discs _h_t have labels printed using a special ink
that fi:els tacky when touched.
• Discs wifll non-standard shapes (e.g., heart, square,
sla o cannot be played on this unit. Attempting to do
so may damage the unit. Do nol use such discs.
