IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

his productwasdesigned andmanufacturedto meetstrict qualityandsafety standards.
Thereare, however,someinstallation andoperationprecautions whichyou should
beparticularly awareof.

. Read Instructions. All the safety andoperating instructions should
be readbefore the system is operated.
2. Retain Instructions. The safety and operating instructions should
be retained for future reference.

. Heed Warnings. Allwarnings on the appliances andin theoperating
i
nstructions should beadhered to.

. Follow Instructions. All operating and useinstructions should be followed.
5. Cleaning. Unplug theappliance from wall outlet before cleaning. Donot
use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Usea damp cloth forcleaning.

. Attachments. Donot use attachments not recommended bythe product

anufacturer asthey may cause hazards.

. Water and Moisture. Donot use these appliances near water‹for example,
near abath tub, washbowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub,in a wet basement,
or neara swimming pool, and thelike.
8. Accessories. Donot place these appliances onan unstable cart, stand,tripod, bracket,
o
r table. The audio/video products may fall, causing serious injury toa child oradult,
a
nd serious damage tothe products. Useonly with acart, stand, tripod, bracket,
o
r table recommended by the manufacturer,or sold with theappliances. Any mounting
of theappliances should follow themanufacturer’sinstructions, and should use mounting
accessories recommended bythe manufacturer.

. Ventilation. Slots and openings in the cabinet areprovided for ventilation andto ensure
reliable operation of the appliances and toprotect them fromoverheating, and these openings
must not be blocked orcovered. The openings should never beblocked by placing theproducts
on abed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. This product should never beplaced near orover
a radiator or heat register.This product should not beplaced in abuilt-in installation such
as abookcase or rack unless proper ventilation isprovided or the manufacturer’sinstructions
have been adhered to.
10. Power Sources. Thisproduct should beoperated only fromthe type ofpower source
indicated onthe marking labels. If youare not sure ofthe type ofpower supplyto your
home, consult your appliance dealer orlocal power company.
11. Grounding orPolarization. This product isequipped with polarized alternating-current
line plugs (plugs having oneblade wider than the other). This plug willfit into thepower
outlet only one way. This is asafety feature. Ifyou are unable toinsert the plugfully into
the outlet, try reversing the plug. If theplug should stillfail to fit,contact your electrician
to replace your obsolete outlet. Do notdefeat the safety purpose ofthe polarized plug.
12. Power Cord Protection. Power-supply cord should berouted so thatit is not likely tobe walked
on orpinched by items placed upon or against it, paying particular attention tocords at plugs,
convenience receptacles, and thepoint where they exitfrom the appliances.
13. Lightning. For added protection forthis audio/video product duringa lightning storm,
or when it is left un-attended andunused for longperiods of time, unplugit from
the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna orcable system. Thiswill prevent damage
to theproduct due to lightning and power-line surges.
14. Power Lines. Anoutside antenna system should notbe located inthe vicinity ofoverhead
power lines or other electric light orpower circuits, orwhere it can fall intosuch power lines
or circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should betaken to keep
from touching such power lines or circuits ascontact with them might befatal.
15. Overloading. Donot overload wall outlets andextension cords asthis can result
in arisk of fire orelectric shock.
16. Object and Liquid Entry. Never push objects ofany kind intothis product throughopenings,
as they may touch dangerous voltage points orshort out parts that could result ina fire
or electric shock. Never spill liquid of anykind on this audio/video product.
17. Servicing. Donot attempt toservice this product yourself, asopening or removing
covers may expose you to dangerous voltage orother hazards. Refer allservicing
to qualified service personnel.
18. Damage Requiring Service. Unplug this product fromwall outlets and refer servicing
to qualified service personnel under thefollowing conditions:
a.When the power supply cord orplug is damaged.
b.If liquid has been spilled, orobjects have falleninto the product.
c.If the product has been exposed to rain orwater.
d.If the product does not operate normally byfollowing the operating
instructions. Adjust only those controls that are covered bythe operating
instructions, as animproper adjustment ofother controls may result
in damage and will often require extensive work by aqualified technician
to restore the product toits normal operation.
e.If the product hasbeen dropped or thecabinet has been damaged.
f.When the product exhibits adistinct change inperformance this indicates
a need for service.

9. Replacement Parts. When replacement partsare required, be sure the service

echnician hasused replacement parts specified bythe manufacturer orthat
t
he parts havethe same characteristics asthe original part. Unauthorized
substitutions mayresult in fire, electric shock orother hazards.
CAUTION: Danger ofEXPLOSION if battery is incorrectly replaced.

ask theservice technician toperform safety checks to determine that
the products arein proper operating condition.
21. Carts and Stands. Theappliances should beused only with acart or stand

hat isrecommended by the manufacturer.An appliance and cart combina-

ion should bemoved with care. Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven
s
urfaces maycause the appliance andcart combination to overturn.
Use caution when moving thecart/apparatus combination toavoid
injury from tip-over.
22. This product is notintended for useoutdoors.
