IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read allof these instructions regarding
your display and retainthem for future refer-
ence.
1 Do not installthe display where it may
(i) obstruct thedrivers vision, (ii) impair
the performanceof any of the vehicles
operating systems orsafety features, in-
cluding air bags,hazard lamp buttons or
(iii) impair thedrivers ability to safely
operate the vehicle.
2 Do not operatethis display if doing soin
any way willdivert your attention from
the safe operationof your vehicle. Al-
ways observe safedriving rules and fol-
low all existing traffic regulations. Ifyou
experience difficultyin operating the
system or readingthe display, park your
vehicle in asafe location and makenec-
essary adjustments.
3 Please remember towear your seat belt
at all times whileoperating your vehicle.
If you are everin an accident, your inju-
ries can be considerablymore severe if
your seat beltis not properly buckled.
4 Never use headphoneswhile driving.
5 To promote safety, certainfunctions are
disabled unless theparking brake is on,
and the vehicleis not in motion.
6 Never set thevolume of your display so
high that youcannot hear outside traffic
and emergency vehicles.

play by yourself. Installation or servicingof
the display bypersons without training and
experience in electronic equipment and au-
tomotive accessories maybe dangerous
and could expose you to the riskof electric
shock orother hazards.

When you attemptto watch a video imagewhile
driving, the warningViewing of front seat
video sourcewhile driving is strictly prohib-
ited. will appearon the front display.
To watcha video image on the frontdisplay, park
your vehicle in a safeplace and apply the park-
ing brake.
Parking brake interlock
Certain functions (Videoviewing and certain
touch panel keys)offered by this unit couldbe
dangerous and/or unlawful ifused while driving.
To prevent suchfunctions from being used while
the vehicle isin motion, there is aninterlock sys-
tem that senses whenthe parking brake isset. If
you attempt touse the functions described
above while driving,they will become disabled
until you stopthe vehicle in a safe place,and (1)
apply the parkingbrake, (2) release the parking
brake, and then(3) apply the parking brake
again. Please keepthe brake pedal pushed
down before releasingthe parking brake.
When using a display connected
to rear monitor output
The rear monitor outputon this unit (VOUT)is
used to connect arear display that allowspas-
sengers in therear seats to watch videos.
WARNING
NEVER install therear display in a location
where the drivercan watch videos while driving.
When using the rear view camera
With an optionalrear view camera, thisunit can
be used asan aid to keep an eyeon trailers, or
when backing intoa tight parking spot.

MIRROR IMAGE REARVIEW CAMERA.

CAUTION
! Therear view camera function isto be used
as an aid tokeep an eye ontrailers, or while
backing up. Donot use for entertainment
purposes.
! Pleasenote that theedges of the rear view
camera images maydiffer slightly according
to whether full screen imagesare displayed
when backing up,and whether the images
are used for checkingthe rear when the ve-
hicle is moving forward.
To avoid battery exhaustion
Keep the vehicleengine running when using
this unit toavoid draining the battery power.
! Whenno power issupplied to this unit, such
as when the vehiclebattery is beingre-
placed, the microcomputerof this unit re-
turns to itsinitial condition. We recommend
that you transcribethe audio adjustment
data.
WARNING
Do not use withvehicles that do not featurean
ACC position.
