You can make the sound of the center speaker seem
like it is coming from within the television.
Press [SHIFT]r[C.FOCUS].
Each time you do this:
CENTER FOCUS1 (Normal)>CENTER FOCUS2 (Enhanced)

≥This does not work when Super Surround is turned on.
≥This will have less effect when Dolby Pro Logic is turned on.
Using this function makes you feel like you are
sitting in the ideal seating position (in the center of
the circle formed by the speakers), even if you
cannot due to the layout of your room.
1 Press
[SHIFT]r[S.POSITION].
2 Press [SHIFT]r[S.POSITION]
repeatedly to select a position.
To cancel
Press [SHIFT]i[S.POSITION] repeatedly to clear “S.POS”.
Press [SUBWOOFER].
Each time you press the button:
SUBW 1>SUBW 2>SUBW 3>SUBW 4 (factory preset)

If the level of the speakers appears to be different while listening to a
source, adjust the level of the speakers to the same apparent level.
Preparation
≥Dolby Digital and DTS: Turn off the other sound field systems.
≥Dolby Pro Logic: Press [ÎPL].
≥Press [VOLUME i] or [j] to set the volume level normally used for
enjoying the source.
1 Press [SHIFT]r[TEST] to output a test signal.
Lch: Front left
Cch: Center
Rch: Front right
RSch: Right surround
LSch: Left surround
2 Press [VOLUME r] or [s].
L, R: j16 dB to 0 dB
C, RS, LS: j10 dB to i6 dB
To stop the test signal, press [SHIFT]i[TEST] again.
∫ To adjust speaker level during play
1 Press [CH SELECT] to select the speaker.

SW: Subwoofer
You can only adjust SW if there is output from the subwoofer
channel.
2 Press [VOLUME r] or [s].
L, R: j16 dB to 0 dB
C, RS, LS: j10 dB to i6 dB
SW: j10 dB to i10 dB
≥Super Surround
Press [SUPER SRND] then adjust the surround speaker level.
S: j10 dB to i6 dB
