: Plays side B (the side facing
the rear) of the tape.
Note
Since this is RCVR/TAPE mode, you can
control the cassette recorder and fully
control the HT-R420 at the same time.

: Power On/Off.
1–9, +10, 0 : Use to enter numeric values.
TV CH UP 5 :
Changes the received
channel upward.
TV CH DOWN :
Changes the received
channel downward.
£ : Starts playback of videotape.
7 : Stops playback, recording,
fast forward or rewinding.
¡ : Fast-forwards the videotape.
1 : Rewinds the videotape.
4 : Changes the VCR channel
downward.
¢ : Changes the VCR channel
upward.
8 : Lets playback pause
temporarily.

CD mode
RC-518M:
CD mode can be used only with an Onkyo CD
player, and you must enter the appropriate Onkyo
CD player code (see page 33).
1. CD input
selector
: Power On/Off.
£ : Starts playback of CD.
7 : Stops playback, fast forward
or fast reverse.
¡ : Fast forwards of CD.
1 : Fast reverses of CD.
8 : Lets playback pause
temporarily.
¢ : Skips to the beginning of the
next track.
4 : Skips to the beginning of the
current or previous track.
DISC : This button is valid when the
CD changer is used and
selects the disc to be played.
1–9, +10, 0 : Use to enter numeric values.
Note
RC-518M:
Since you can only enter a CD code or DVD
code for the CD/DVD button, you can use
CD mode or DVD mode, but not both.
