Connections
USB connector
Connect a Kenwood digital memory audio player
(separately available M1GC7) or other USB mass
storage class-compatible digital audio player.
PHONES jack
Connect headphones (separately available)
equipped with a stereo mini-plug.
Before connecting associated system products,
be sure to read their instruction manuals.
Caution for connection
Set the main unit in the standby mode
before connecting any associated product
to it and do not set the power key to ON
until all connections are completed.
Before unplugging a connected cord or
cable, be sure to set the power key to OFF
and unplug the power cord from the power
outlet in advance.
Connect every connection cord firmly.
Incomplete insertion may cause loss of audio
output or generation of noise.

Caution for USB connection
Do not connect a component other than
a USB mass storage class-compatible
digital audio player to the USB connector.
Kenwood will not assume any liabilities for
the malfunction, damage or loss of data
that may result from connection of other
kind of component.
* With certain models, it takes a certain period
before the connection is recognized.
* Certain models
display the USB
connection mode
selection menu. In
this case, select the
“Storage” mode.
Connect a Kenwood digital
audio player (separately
available
HD20GA7 or M1GC7).
Connecting it using the
dedicated cable makes it
possible to control it from the
main unit or remote control
unit (Refer to page 10 of the
“Operating Procedures”.)
