Select the external component
(LINE IN).
Each time you press the
button, the source changes
as described on page 7.
When you select a source,
the power automatically
comes on.

Turn on the connected component
and start playing the source.

Adjust the volume.

Select the DSP mode and sound
mode as you want.

Note:
When the source is “LINE IN,” the DISP (D) button
will not work.
If you have assigned a different name to the
external component, it will appear.
Playing an external component
For KD-SH9750:
You can connect an external components to the
LINE IN plugs on the rear.
• If you cannot select “LINE IN” as the source,
change the “Line in” setting to “On.” (See pages 40
and 42.)
For KD-SH9700:
You can connect the external component to the
CD changer jack on the rear using the Line Input
Adapter KS-U57 (not supplied).
• For connecting the Line Input Adapter KS-U57 and
the external component, refer to the Installation/
Connection Manual (separate volume).
• Before operating the external component, change
the “Ext Input” setting to “Line In.” (See pages 40
and 42.)
