1 Press the CLOCK/TIMER button repeat-
edly until "ON (time)" appears on the
display.
At this time, "DAILY" indicator blinks on the display.
Each time you press the button, the display changes as
follows.

The System enters ON-time setting mode, and the cur-
rent ON time appears on the display and the hour digits
blink.

System to come on, then press the SET button.
The minute digits of the ON time blink on the display.
Pressing the _ button moves the time forwm'ds and
pressing the < button moves it backwards.
Holding down the button moves the time.

Selecting the music source.
Press the I,_ or _1 button to select the music source you
want lo listen lo, then press the SET button.
Each time you press the D,_ or _1 button, the display
changes as shown below:
FM? _ AM? _ CD? _ LINE?* _ MELODY?
(back m the beginning)
*: If the name has been changed, thai name (e.g.
"TAPE") will appear. (See page 20.)
According to the music source you have selected, the
next operalion differs.
FM? Tunes in Io the specified preset FM sta-
tion.
AM? Tunes in lo Ihe specified preset AM sta-
tion.
CD? Plays the specified track on Ihe speci-
fied CD.
LINE? Plays an exlernal source.
MELODY? : Select one of 10 melodies.
Preparation for each music source:
Perform the following operalion according to lhe music
source you have selected. Then, the System enters Vol-
ume Setting mode.
eWhen selecting "FM?" or "AM?"
Press the _ or _ button to select the preset staiion
number, then press the SET bulton.
• If you select the display "- -", the current broad-
cast station is selected.
eWhen selecting "CD?"
Press the _ or _1 button 1o select the lrack number
you want to start playback, then press the SET button.
• If you select the display "- -", playback will start
from the first lrack.
eWhen selecting "LINE?"
Prepare the exlernal equipment so Ihai it will turn on
ai the ON time set by the System.
To allow this, the equipment should have the timer
function.
eWhen selecting "MELODY?"
Press the _ or _1 button lo select one of melodies
(MELODY 1-10). Then, the selected melody is
played back.
