EXTERNAL CONTROL
SURROUND MODE SETTINGS
FireBall will automatically switch the video and audio output from the DVD changer when you
play a movie title. This allows you to use one input on your a/v receiver or TV for the FireBall and
the DVD changer. You may use either composite, S-video, or component video connections and
analog, digital, or 5.1 analog audio connections from the changer to the FireBall. Use the same
types of connections from FireBall to your A/V receiver or TV monitor.
FireBall is equipped with the following video input and output ports:
• 1 composite video output
• 1 s-video output
• 1 component video output
• 1 composite video input
• 1 s-video input
• 1 component video input
Follow these steps to set the Surround Mode Settings:
1. Press the SETUP key on the remote control.
2. Select the External Control Menu.
3. Select the Surround Mode Settings.
5. Set the desired media to the desired receiver mode.
6. Highlight the SAVE button and press SELECT to save the settings.
Note: FireBall does not alter the video or audio signal quality in any way. All video and
audio signals are switched and then passed through FireBall to your home theater system.
Because video and audio signals are switched, you must use matching cable types
between your changers, FireBall, and your home theater.
Note: The Surround Mode Settings allows you to automatically select the deired Surround
Mode on your compatible Denon or Marantz A/V receiver for each type of media FireBall
can play.
