PLAYING COMPACT DISCS
NORMAL PLAYBACK
1. Press the POWER button to turn the unit ‘On’. The POWER LED indicator comes
on.
2. Set the Function selector to CD. Two dashes– –” appear in the CD display.
This indicates that there is no disc in the player, or that the player cannot read
the disc.
3. Press the CD door OPEN button.
4. Place a CD on the center spindle with the printed label side facing up and close
the CD door.
5. The player will read the Table of Contents on the disc and the display will show
the total number of tracks on the disc.
6. Press the CD PLAY/PAUSE button. Playback will begin on Track 1. The
display shows the number of the track being played and the Play/Pause LED
Indicator “Dot” comes on.
7. Adjust the VOLUME control, as desired.
8. After the last track has been played, the disc stops and the display again shows
the total number of tracks on the disc. The LED Play/Pause Indicator “Dot” goes
off.
To stop playback before the disc ends, press the STOP button. The disc stops
immediately and the display shows the total number of tracks on the disc.
CD PAUSE CONTROL
To stop CD playback temporarily, press the PLAY/PAUSE button again during
playback. The sound stops and the Play/Pause Indicator “Dot”, which follows the
track number, flashes to indicate you are in Pause mode. However, the disc
continues to spin. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button once more to cancel Pause
and resume playback. The sound returns and the Play/Pause Indicator stops
flashing.
