DEFINED IN ANSI/ISA RP12.6 AND THE NEC, ANSI/NFPA 70.
4. SENSORS WITHOUT PREAMPS SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF SIMPLE APPARATUS AS
SENSOR TERMINALS MUST NOT EXCEED THE VALUES SPECIFIED IN TABLE I
THE CAPACITANCE AND INDUCTANCE OF THE LOAD CONNECTED TO THE
PREAMPLIFIER.
THE OUTPUT PARAMETERS SPECIFIED IN TABLE II ARE VALID FOR EITHER
CIRCUITRY. AN EXTERNAL PREAMPLIFIER MAY BE ALSO USED.
