TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Check the following guide for problem resolution.
SYMPTOM CAUSE SOLUTION
CD Player will not
turn on
Hold Switch position is
“ON”.
Dead or weak batteries.
AC adaptor not
connected properly.
Turn the Hold Switch to the
“OFF” position.
Replace batteries.
Check AC adaptor
connection.
Disc will not play Disc inserted incorrectly.
Defective compact disc.
CD compartment not
closed.
Moisture has formed
inside the CD deck.
Reinsert disc with label side
facing up.
Try another compact disc.
Close lid securely.
Take out the CD and leave the
CD compartment door open
for about an hour to dry
moisture condensation.
No sound from
headphones
Headphone plug not
inserted properly.
Volume control set to
minimum.
Weak batteries.
Defective compact disc.
Reinsert headphone cord into
Headphone jack.
Increase the volume.
Replace with fresh batteries
or use AC power.
Try another compact disc.
Sound is skipping The compact disc or
pickup lens is dirty.
Strong vibrations.
Clean or replace the compact
disc or clean the pickup lens.
Place the CD player on a level
surface that is stable (no
vibrations).
