TROUBLESHOOTING
SYMPTOM
The unit does not operate when
POWER on the front panel is
pressed.
Remote control does not function.
Disc cannot be erased.
Recorded CD-R/RW disc does not
play in another CD player or "DISC
ERROR" appears in play deck
display.
Recording suddenly stops.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
No AC power
Wrong deck selected.
Sensor blocked
Dead batteries
CD-R disc is in use.
CD-R/RW disc not finalized.
Input source stopped or paused.
SOLUTION
Make sure AC power cord is plugged
into an AC outlet.
Press CD/SEL to control the play
deck; press CD-R/RW/SEL to control
the record deck.
Remove obstructions from front
panel.
Replace both batteries.
CD-R discs are not erasable. Use
CD-RW discs.
Finalize the CD-R/RW disc in the
unit's record deck. (see page 18)
Recordings will always stop when the
input source is paused for more than
3 seconds for digital recordings and
10 seconds for analog recordings.
