STARTING A FLOODED ENGINE
Flooded engines ca n b e started by placing

the rope to clear the engine of excess fuel.
This could require pulling the starter handle
many times depen ding on how badly the unit
is flooded.

OPE RATING INS TRUCTIONS
It is recommended that the engine not be
operated for longer than 1 minute at full
throttle.
OPERATING POSITION
Cut from your right to your left.
ALWAYS WEAR:
Eye protection
Long pants
Heavy shoes
WARNING: Always weareyeprotec-
tion. Never lean over the trimmer head.
Rocksordebriscanricochetorbe throwninto
eyes and face and cause blindness or other
serious injury.
Do not run the engine at a higher spee d than
necessary. T he cutting line will cut e fficiently
when the engine is run at less than full throttle.
At lowe r spee ds, ther e is less e ngine noise and
vibration. The cutting lin e will last longer and will
be l ess likely to “wel d” on to the spool.
Always release the throttle trigger and allow the
engine to return to idle speed when not cutting.
To stop engine:
S Release t he throttle trigger.
S Push and hold the STOP switch in the
STOP po sition until the engine stops.
