Using In-call options
Press <
Options
> to access the following options
during a call:
•
Loudspeaker
/
Loudspeaker off
: turn on the
Speakerphone feature or switch back to Normal
mode.
•
Switch to headset
/
Switch to phone
: switch
the call to a Bluetooth headset or hands-free car
kit or back to the phone.

Join
: set up a multi-party call by adding a caller
on hold to a currently active call. You can include
up to 5 people on a multi-party call.
•
Split
: have a private conversation with one
multi-party call participant. The other
participants can converse with each other. After
the private conversation, select
Join
to return
both private participants to the multi-party call.
•
Drop
: access the following options:
Drop call
: disconnect one of the multi-party call
participants.
Drop active call
: disconnect the active call.
Drop held call
: disconnect the call currently on
hold.
•
Transfer
: transfer the currently active call to a
caller on hold. The two callers can talk to each
other, but you are disconnected from the call.
•
Mute
/
Unmute
: switch off the phone's
microphone so that the other person on the
phone cannot hear you, or switch it back on.
•
Mute key tone
/
Unmute key tone
: turn the
key tones off or on.
•
New call
: make a new voice call.
•
Contacts
: locate or store contacts in Contacts.
•
Send text message
: create a new SMS
message.
•
Send DTMF
: send DTMF (Dual tone multi-
frequency) tones as a group. The DTMF tones are
the tones used in phones for tone dialling,
sounding when you press the number keys. This
option is helpful for entering a password or an
account number when you call an automated
system, like a banking service.
•
Memo
: create a memo.
•
End call
/
End calls
: disconnect the call currently
on hold, active call, or all calls.
To communicate with answering machines or
computerised telephone systems,
Unmute
key tone
must be selected.
