PREPARING TO PAINT:
1. Separate the parts of thespeaker. Removethe brackets
and bracketknobs. Remove thegrille bycarefully hooking
it witha bent paperclip andpulling it gentlyaway from
the cabinet[figure 4].
2. Mask offthe binding postson theback of thespeaker [figure
5], theend panels andbracket knobs,and carefully maskoff
the frontof the speakersto protectthe drivers andbaffles
while painting[figure 6]. Thegrille featuresan engraved
l
ogo pod.Youcan maskthis off orpaint right overit.
PREPARATION A LA PEINTURE :

ceinte. Puisretirez la grillede l’enceinteen la dégageant
délicatement àl’aide d'un tromboneplié [figure4].
2. Masquez les bornessituées àl’arrière de l’enceinte[figure
5], lespanneaux des extrémitésde l’enceinte,puis masquez
la surfaceavant des e nceintesavec soin pourprotéger les
transducteurs etl’écran acoustique lorsde l’applicationde
la peinture[figure 6]. Masquezégalement laportion filetée
des boutonset des écrous.La grilleest dotée d’unlogo—
vous pouvezle masquer oule peindre.

PAINTING YOUR ATRIUM
LOUDSPEAKERS
You willneed:
• Aspray canof primer paint(Krylon Sandable
Spray Primer#1318, or e quivalent).
• Aspray canof the paintof your choice.Choose exterior
grade paintif you p lanto use thespeakers outdoors.
• A paperclip orcorkscrew (for removing the paintable
grille) [figure4].
• Masking tape.
• Paintmask (to coverunpaintable parts—
not included
.)
To makean easypaint mask, usethe grille asa template
and cuta mask fromheavy,nonporous Kraftpaper.
