1.TheTPA2012D2providesindependentshutdowncontrolssothateachchannelcanbecontrolled
separately.Theshutdownpins,SDLandSDR,areactivelow.Thismeansthatalowvoltage(ground)
onthispinplacestheappropriatechannelinshutdownmode.Usingthepushbuttonsprovidedonthe
EVM,theTPA2012D2canbeplacedinshutdownbypressingandholdingthebutton(s)down.Both
buttonsmustbedepressedinorderforbothchannelsoftheTPA2012D2toturnoff.Whenthebuttons
arereleased,theappropriatechannelonthedevicerestarts.
2.ThejumperJ1canbeusedtotieSDLandSDRsignalstogether.WithjumperJ1installed,both
channelscanbeplacedinshutdownbypressingeitherSDLorSDR.Thisisthedefaultconfiguration
oftheEVM.
1.VerifythecorrectconnectionsasdescribedinSections2.1.1and2.1.2.
2.Verifythevoltagesettingofthepowersupplyisbetween2.5Vand5.5VandturnONthepower
supply.ProperoperationoftheEVMshouldbegin.
