Playing CDs in Various Modes

Checking the track order
You can check your program before or after you start
playing.
Press CHECK on the remote.
Each time you press this button, the front panel display
shows the disc and track number of each step in the
programmed order. After the last step in the program,
the front panel display shows “End” and returns to the
original display. If you check the order after you start
playing, the front panel display shows the steps from
the current play position.
Changing the track order
You can change your program before you start playing.
To Press
Erase a step Z CHECK until the track or disc you
don’t want appears in the display,
then press CLEAR.
Erase the last step in the
program Z
CLEAR. Each time you press this
button, the last track and disc are
cleared.
Add steps to the end of
the program
DISC 1 - 5 (or DISC and number
button of the disc (1 - 5) on the
remote) and number buttons of
the tracks to be added.
Change the whole
program completely
p. Create a new program
following the programming
procedure.
Enjoying Picture Effects
You will get a clear-cut picture by emphasizing the
outline of the pictures without increasing noise on the
picture or you can enjoy a picture which luminance is
reduced just like the picture on the movie theater
screen.

Getting a clear-cut picture (Active Picture)
Press EFFECT PICTURE repeatedly until “ACTIVE”
appears in the front panel display.
Getting a movie-theater-like picture
(Theater Picture)
Press EFFECT PICTURE repeatedly until “THEATER”
appears in the front panel display.
To cancel the picture effect
Press EFFECT PICTURE repeatedly until “ACTIVE” or
“THEATER” disappears from the front panel display.
Note
The Active Picture and Theater Picture functions are not
available while playing an audio CD.
