Introduction
The Mikroport-transmitter SK 1010 is designed für single-channel
use in the frequency ranges 30 to 45 MHz and 138-220 MHz. The
transmitter together with a microphone and a suitable Mikroport-
receiver e.g. HDE 300-7 or EM 1001,forms a wireless microphone
system of high quality.
The transmitter is powered bya commercial 9 V-battery (IEC 6 F 22)
or a rechargeable nickel-cadmium accumulator. The accumula-
tor may be recharged from the automatic charging unit
SZL 1010.Charging contacts are provided on the side of the
receiver.
Together with the screw-in microphones MKE 2010 and MKE 4010
the transmitter forms a unit not larger than a conventional micro-
phone. This complete unit may be easily hand-held for reporting or
carried around the neck as a Lavalier microphone. A carrying
device is included in the packaging.
Ifthe transmitter ISto be worn inconspicuously beneath the clothing
microphones are available which are connected via a short cable to
the microphone socket of the transmitter.

Inserting the battery
To insert the battery (IEC 6 F22, e. g. Mallory MN 1604 or NC-accu-
mulator Varta Tr 7/8) please open battery compartment @ by press-
ing gently as indicated by the arrow In fig. 1.The lid can then be
slid off. When inserting the battery, please note that the negative
terminal must fit into the large contact opening of the battery
contacts. The unit will only operate Ifthe battery ISinserted wlth
correct polarity.
Close the lid until it snaps in audibly. The hinge of the battery com-
partment lid cannot be destroyed by mishandling since it simply
comes off and can snapped in again.
Microphones
The electret microphones MKE 2010 and MKE 4010 (fig. 5) have
been especlally developed for use with the transmitter
SK 1010.The
screw-in microphone MKE 2010 has an omnidirec!ional character-
istic and features low handling noise sensitivity. It is to be preferred
when several people speak from different directions into the same
microphone. In noisy environments, reverberant rooms or when
there is a danger of acoustical feedback, we recommend using
the screw-in microphone MKE 4010 with a cardioid directional
charactenstic.
