IMPORTANTSAFETYINSTRUCTIONS
Thisproduct wasdesignedand manufacturedtomeetstrict qualityandsafetystandards.There are,however,
someinstallation andoperationprecautions whichyoushouldbe particularlyawareof.

. Read Instructions. Allthe safetyand operating instructionsshould beread beforethe systemis operated.
2. Retain Instructions. Thesafety andoperating instructionsshould be retained forfuture reference.

. Heed Warnings.All warnings on theappliances andin the operating instructions should beadhered to.
4. Follow Instructions. Alloperating anduse instructionsshould be followed.

. Cleaning. Unplug theappliance fromwall outlet before cleaning.Do notuse liquidcleaners or aerosol
cleaners. Usea dampcloth forcleaning.

. Attachments. Donot useattachments notrecommended by theproduct manufactureras theymay cause hazards.
7. Waterand Moisture. Donot usethese appliancesnear water‹for example, near abath tub,washbowl, kitchen

ink, orlaundry tub,in awet basement, or neara swimmingpool, and thelike.
8. Accessories. Donot placethese applianceson an unstable cart,stand, tripod,bracket, ortable. The audio/video
products may fall,causing seriousinjury to achild oradult, andserious damage to theproducts. Useonly with
a
cart, stand, tripod,bracket, ortable recommended bythe manufacturer,or sold withthe appliances.Any
mounting ofthe appliancesshould followthe manufacturer’sinstructions, andshould usemounting
a
ccessories recommended bythe manufacturer.

. Ventilation.Slots andopenings in thecabinet areprovided forventilation and to ensure reliable operation
of the appliancesand toprotect them from overheating, andthese openings must notbe blockedor covered.
The openings shouldnever beblocked by placing theproducts ona bed,sofa, rug, orother similarsurface.

his product shouldnever beplaced near orover aradiator orheat register.This productshould not beplaced
in abuilt-in installationsuch asa bookcase orrack unlessproper ventilationis provided orthe manufacturer’s
instructions have beenadhered to.

0. Power Sources.This product should be operated onlyfrom thetype of power source indicated on the
marking labels. Ifyou arenot sure of the type ofpower supplyto yourhome, consult your appliance
dealer orlocal powercompany.
11. Grounding orPolarization. Thisproduct isequipped with polarizedalternating-current lineplugs (plugshaving
o
ne blade widerthan theother). This plug willfit intothe poweroutlet only one way. This isa safetyfeature.
If you areunable toinsert the plug fully into theoutlet, tryreversing theplug. If the plug shouldstill failto fit,
contact your electricianto replaceyour obsolete outlet.Do notdefeat thesafety purposeof the polarized plug.
12. Power Cord Protection.Power-supplycord should berouted sothat itis not likely tobe walked

n orpinched byitems placedupon or against it,paying particularattention tocords at plugs,
convenience receptacles, andthe pointwhere they exitfrom theappliances.
13. Lightning. For addedprotection forthis audio/videoproduct during alightning storm,or whenit is left
unattended and unusedfor longperiods of time, unplugit fromthe walloutlet and disconnect theantenna

r cable system.This willprevent damage tothe productdue tolightning and power-line surges.
14. Power Lines. Anoutside antennasystem should notbe locatedin thevicinity of overhead power lines orother
electric light orpower circuits,or where itcan fallinto suchpower lines or circuits. When installing anoutside
antenna system, extremecare shouldbe taken tokeep fromtouching suchpower linesor circuits ascontact
with them mightbe fatal.
15. Overloading. Donot overloadwall outletsand extension cordsas thiscan resultin a riskof fireor electricshock.
16. Object and LiquidEntry.Never pushobjects of anykind intothis productthrough openings, asthey maytouch
dangerous voltage pointsor shortout parts thatcould result ina fireor electric shock.Never spillliquid
of any kindon thisaudio/video product.
17. Servicing. Donot attemptto servicethis product yourself,as openingor removingcovers may expose
you to dangerousvoltage orother hazards. Referall servicingto qualifiedservice personnel.
18. Damage Requiring Service.Unplug thisproduct from walloutlets and referservicing
to qualified servicepersonnel underthe following conditions:
a. Whenthe powersupply cord orplug isdamaged.
b. Ifliquid hasbeen spilled, or objects have falleninto theproduct.
c. If theproduct has been exposed torain orwater.
d. Ifthe productdoes not operate normally byfollowing theoperating instructions.Adjust only those
controls that arecovered bythe operating instructions, asan improperadjustment ofother controls
may result indamage andwill often require extensive workby aqualified technicianto restore
the product toits normaloperation.
e. Ifthe producthas been dropped or the cabinethas beendamaged.
f. When the productexhibits adistinct change inperformance thisindicates aneed forservice.
19. Replacement Parts. Whenreplacement partsare required,be sure the servicetechnician hasused replacement
parts specified bythe manufactureror that theparts havethe samecharacteristics asthe original part.
Unauthorized substitutions mayresult infire, electricshock or otherhazards.
CAUTION: Danger ofEXPLOSION if battery isincorrectly replaced.Replace onlywith the same

WARNING:Do not expose batteries orbattery packto excessiveheat such assunshine, fireor thelike.
20. Safety Check.Upon completionof anyservice or repairsto thisproduct, askthe service technician toperform
safety checksto determinethat theproducts are inproper operatingcondition.
21. Carts andStands. Theappliances shouldbe used onlywith acart orstand that isrecommended
by the manufacturer.An appliance and cart combinationshould bemoved withcare. Quick stops,
excessive force, anduneven surfacesmay cause theappliance andcart combinationto overturn.
Use caution whenmoving thecart/apparatus combinationto avoid injury fromtip-over.
22. This product isnot intendedfor use outdoors.
