Getting StartedPlaying DiscsReference
This works only when the elapsed play time can be displayed. It also
works with all JPEG content.
Items shown differ depending on the type of disc and playback mode.
Random mode will be cleared when you change the repeat mode.
This does not work during HD JPEG playback (B 17, HD JPEG Mode [JPEG])
Repeat play
During play, press and hold [–REPEAT]9, to show the
repeat mode.
While the repeat mode is displayed, press [–REPEAT]9 to select the
item to be repeated.
e.g. [DVD-V]
`Chapter ---. `Title ---. `Off

To cancel, select “Off”.
Using on-screen menus

Press [FUNCTIONS]6 to show the on-screen menu.
Each time you press the button:
Menu 1 (Disc)
Menu 2 (Video)

Press [3, 4, 2, 1]8 to select the item and press
[OK]8.

Play Speed
[DVD-V]
To change play speed
– from “k0.6” to “k1.4” (in 0.1-unit steps)
≥Press [1 PLAY]5 to return to normal play.
≥After you change the speed
– Dolby Pro Logic II has no effect.
– Audio output switches to 2-channel stereo.
– Sampling frequency of 96 kHz is converted to 48 kHz.
≥This function may not work depending on the disc’s recording.
Repeat Mode

A-B Repeat (To repeat a specified section)

≥Select “Off” to cancel.

≥On iR/iRW, a subtitle number may be shown for subtitles that are
not displayed.

Transfer Mode
To select the method of conversion for video output to suit the type
of material

≥When the content is distorted, select “Video”.
≥This may have no effect with some sources.
≥The setting will return to “Auto” when the disc tray is opened, the unit is
turned off or another source is selected.

To make the dialog in movies easier to hear
[DVD-V] (Dolby Digital, 3-channel or higher, with the dialog recorded in
the center channel)
