Opens/closes the disc tray.
MEMORY button
Stores favorite songs or
scenes for playback in the
order you want.
DIMMER button
Starts the brightness of the
display section.
REPEAT button
Starts repeat playback.
A-B button
Starts A-B repeat playback
on a DVD, video CD, or CD.
RANDOM button
Selects random playback
mode.
DISPLAY button
Switches the displayed
information.
CLEAR button
Cancels a choice you
made.
MENU button
Displays the menu screen.
Displays the JPEG thumb-
nail or MP3 navigation
screen.
SETUP button
Displays the setup screen.
ZOOM button
Zooms (magnifies) the DVD
or video CD screen.
SUBTITLE button
Switches a DVD’s subtitle
language.
STEP/SLOW +/– buttons
Control frame-by-frame or
slow motion playback for a
DVD or video CD.
(Stop) button: Stops playback.
(Play) button: Starts playback.
(Pause) button: Pauses playback.
STANDBY button
Tur ns the power to standby mode.
ON button
Tur ns the power on.
SEARCH button
Lets you find a desired location on
the DVD, video CD, or CD.
LAST MEMORY button
Memorizes the playback location
from which you can resume playing
the next time you insert a DVD or
video CD.
Number buttons
Use these to specify scenes, audio
options, subtitles, items, or pass-
words.
TOP MENU button
Displays the DVD’s top menu
screen.
////ENTER buttons
Use these to move the cursor up/
down/left/right. Press the center
button to confirm your selection.
RETURN button
Returns to the previous item in the
setting screen.
AUDIO button
Switches the DVD language or the
video CD audio.
ANGLE button
Switches the DVD angle.
PROGRESSIVE button
Switches the video output to pro-
gressive mode. (NTSC only)
Operate this button when the DVD
player is stopped.
/ buttons:
Search forward or backward
through scenes or songs.
Zoom (magnify) JPEG images.
