1. Introduction
The Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset (HS-12W) allows you to make and
receive phone calls, and listen to FM radio and music tracks or other
audio files.
Read this user guide carefully before using the headset. Read also the
user guide for your phone, which provides important safety and
maintenance information. Keep the headset out of reach of small
children.
RDS (radio data system)
The FM radio of the headset supports the RDS (radio data system)
technology. The RDS feature allows you to view the name of the
selected radio channel on the headset display. The RDS feature also
keeps the headset automatically tuned into the selected radio channel
as long as the channel is available in your location. The RDS feature may
not work with all radio channels or in all countries.
Bluetooth wireless technology
The HS-12W headset can be connected to a compatible mobile phone or
other device that supports Bluetooth wireless technology. This
technology makes it possible to connect compatible communication
devices without cables. A Bluetooth connection does not require that
the phone and the headset be in line of sight, but both devices should be
within 10 meters of each other. Connections can be subject to
interference from obstructions, such as walls, or other electronic
devices.
The HS-12W headset is compliant with Bluetooth Specification 1.2
supporting the following profiles: Headset Profile 1.1, Handsfree Profile
1.0, Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) 1.0, Audio/Video
Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) 1.0, General Audio/Video Distribution
Profile (GAVDP) 1.0. Check with the manufacturers of other devices to
determine their compatibility with this device.
