the unit on; the display will light

MANUAL TUNING: Repeatedly
press the SKIP/TUNING o 1 or n
2 button to manually advance the
frequency in the display up or
down until the desired frequency
appears.
For FM , "ST" (Stereo indicator)
will appear if the station is
broadcasting in stereo.

Press the BAND button on the
main unit or at the remote to
select AM or FM.

Press the FUNCTION button
repeatedly until the tuner is
selected; "AM" or "FM" and the
frequency will appear in the
display.

AUTOMATIC TUNING: Press
and hold the SKIP/TUNING o 1
or n 2 button until the frequency
in the display starts to scan, and
then release the button; the tuner
will search and then stop on the
next strong station it finds. Repeat
this step until the desired
frequency appears in the display.

Hints for Better Reception
AM–The AM ferrite bar antenna is located inside the unit. It may be necessary to turn the unit slightly so that
the internal antenna is pointing in the direction of the AM transmitter. You may have to experiment to find the
position that provides the strongest reception for each of your favorite AM stations.
FM–Make sure that the FM Wire Antenna is extended to its full length. You may have to vary the direction of
the antenna to find the strongest signal for each FM station.
NOTE:
When you turn the unit off and then back on again, the volume setting will return to the default setting level.
