DTMF KEY LOCK
Assuming you have a transceiver with the optional
speaker microphone installed and you are carrying it in
the holder or bag, you sometimes may want to disable
the keypad to avoid accidental DTMF transmission. In
this case, turn the DTMF Key Lock function ON.
1 Press [MENU] to enter Menu Mode.
2 Turn the Tuning control to select Menu No. 36
(DT.L).
3 Press [MENU].
4 Turn the Tuning control to select “ON”.
5 Press [MENU] to store the setting or [PTT] to cancel.
When this function is activated, you cannot send DTMF
tones using [MENU] (all models) or DTMF keypad
(TH-K2AT/ ET/ K4AT) during transmission.
