1Press the MENU key.
2Select the LISTEN MODE.
(Go to next step within 15 sec.)
3Select the DOLBY PRO LOGIC mode.
(Go to next step within 15 sec.)
4Select the center speaker mode

5Select the delay time.
NORMAL ............. When the center speaker is compact-sized
speaker.
WIDEBAND .........When the center speaker is medium- or
large-sized speaker.
PHANTOM...........When the center speaker is not used.
RETURN ...............Returns to step 3.
When video (LD) software carrying
mark
is played, this mode provides the Dolby Surround effect,
similar to movie theaters.

÷Be sure to adjust from your listening position.
÷When the number of displayed characters exceeds 10, the characters
are first scrolled then stop.
÷To abort setting in the middle, press the MENU key again.
÷If you cannot tell whether your center speaker is compact or medium-
size, try two modes and select according to your liking.
Set the DOLBY PRO LOGIC mode.

round speakers
RETURN ... Returns to step 4.
÷To abort setting in the middle, press the LISTEN MODE key again.
÷When the setting completes, all of the set contents are displayed by
scrolling.
Delay time
This refers to the difference in timing of the sound output from
the surround speakers with respect to that output from the front
speakers. The delay time setting consists of adjusting this dif-
ference in time.

If you are operating the main unit, press the LISTEN MODE key
then select by turning the MULTI CONTROL jog dial in place of press-
ing the “@#” key of the remote control unit.
