Symptom Cause Solution
CD boombox will not
turn on.
Dead or weak batteries. Replace the batteries or
use the AC power cord.
The AC power cord is
not connected correctly.
Make sure that the AC
power cord is securely
plugged into the power
connector on your CD
boombox and the power
outlet.
CD does not play. CD is inserted
incorrectly.
Make sure that the CD
label is facing up.
Defective CD or
incorrectly type of CD.
Try a different CD. You
cannot play DVDs or
data CDs.
CD door is not closed. Press down gently on
the CD door to make
sure that it is closed
completely.
Moisture has formed
inside your CD
boombox.
Remove the CD and
leave the CD door open
for about an hour to let
the moisture evaporate.
No sound from
headphones.
Headphone plug is not
inserted correctly.
Reinsert the headphone
plug into the headphone
jack.
Volume control is set
too low.
Increase the volume.
Weak batteries. Replace the batteries or
use the AC power cord.
CD is defective. Try a different CD.
