Basic Operation
Press ON/STANDBY.
When the power is turned on, the function that was being used
when the power was last turned off is selected (selector
function).
¢Turning the power off (to the standby mode):
Press ON/STANDBY again.
Loading discs

¢To close the disc tray:

NOTE:
Be sure to turn on the power when opening and closing the disc
tray.
Do not push the disc tray in by hand when the power is off. Doing
so could damage it.
Do not insert foreign objects into the disc tray. Doing so will
damage it.

Standby mode...........................Red
Low-power standby mode........Off ( ) ( page 21)
•Timer standby mode.................Orange
When in the low-power standby mode, a very small amount of
power is consumed, even if all the indicators are turned off.
Adjusting the volume

Adjusting the tone
To emphasize the low bass sound:
When “SDB ON/OFF” is displayed, use

to select “ON” or “OFF”.
Use [SDB/TONE] to select the tone parameter to be
adjusted.

SDB: Adjusts the low bass sound.
BASS: Adjusts the bass sound.
TREBLE: Adjusts the treble sound.
BALANCE: Adjusts the left/right volume balance.
S. DIRECT: The sound is played with the tone flat.
