( on the display panel), press this button to
return to disc play mode from the beginning of the
last track in play.
cl REPEAT PLAY SELECTOR (RPT)
During disc play, press this button to repeat the play
of the selected track (“RPT” will appear on the dis-
play panel). Play of the track will continue to repeat
until the button is pressed again and the “RPT” indi-
cation disappears from the display panel. Repeat
Play mode will also be cancelled by activating the
Shuffle Play
cm or T rack Scan cn functions.
cmSHUFFLE PLAYSELECTOR (SHF)
During disc play, press this button to play the tracks
on the disc in a random shuffled order (“SHF” will
appear on the display panel). In Shuffle Play mode,
pressing the Forward Track Select ( + ) will also se-
lect tracks in the random order instead of the normal
progression. The first press of the Backward Track
Select ( - ) will go back to the beginning of the track in
play. Additional presses will select tracks in random
order. The Shuffle Play mode can be cancelled by
pressing the button again (“SHF” indication will dis-
appear from the display panel) or by activating the
Repeat Play
cl or Track Scan cn functions.
cnTRACK SCAN (SCN)
During disc play, press this button to play the first 10
seconds of each track on the disc (“SCAN” will ap-
pear on the display panel). When a desired track is
reached, press the Scan button again to cancel the
function and play of the selected track will continue.
Track Scan mode will also be cancelled by activating
the Repeat Play cl , Shuffle Play cm , or Track
Select
bs functions.
co DISC EJECT ( )
Disc play is stopped, the disc is ejected and the unit
will change to radio operation by pressing this but-
ton. If the disc is not removed from the unit and the
button is pressed again, the disc will be re-loaded
and begin playing.
If the disc is not removed from the disc slot within 10
seconds of being ejected, it will automatically be re-
loaded into the unit to prevent it from being acciden-
tally damaged. Play of the disc can be resumed by
using the CD Mode Selector
bu to choose CD player
function.
cp TIME/FREQUENCY SELECTOR (T/F)
This unit can be set so that either the clock time or
radio frequency/CD player functions will normally ap-
pear on the display panel. Pressing the Time/Fre-
quency Selector button when the radio frequency or
CD player track indication is shown will change the
display to show the time. The time will then be the
priority setting and the display will automatically re-
turn to time display 5 seconds after any other radio,
CD player, or audio function display.
If the unit is set to time display priority, pressing the
Time/Frequency Selector button will change the dis-
play to show the radio frequency/CD player indica-
tion and this will then become the priority setting to
which the display automatically returns 5 seconds
after any other function is activated.
cqTHEFT-DETERRENT L.E.D.
Located on the chassis behind the front panel, a light-
emitting diode (L.E.D.) will flash when the panel is
removed. The flashing light serves as a visual warn-
ing to the would-be thief that the unit has been dis-
abled by removal of the front panel.
cr RE-SET BUTTON
A Re-Set button is located on the front of the chassis
(front panel must be removed to access the button).
The re-set circuitry is provided to protect the micro-
processor circuitry and should only be activated un-
der the following circumstances as it will erase the
time and pre-set memories.
1. Upon initial installation after all wiring is completed.
2. After the position of the frequency step switch on
the bottom of the chassis has been changed.
3. If there is a malfunction of any of the switches on
the unit, pressing the Re-Set button may clear
the system and return to normal operation.
cs FRONT PANEL RELEASE BUTT ON
This button is used to release the mechanism that
holds the front panel to the chassis. To detach the
front panel, press the button so that the left side of
the panel is released. Grasp the released side and
pull it off of the chassis.
To re-attach the panel, position the right side of the
panel in place first and then press the left side of the
panel until the mechanism locks it into place.
