To search for a song of the selected album
1 After selecting the album in step 2*

, press to change
to the song search mode of the selected album.
2 Turn the Rotary encoder to select a song and press
MODE.
The selected song is played back.
While in the search mode, if you press and hold for at least 2
seconds, or no operation is performed for 10 seconds, the search
mode is canceled.
In the search mode, pressing FUNC. will return to the previous
mode.
If you choose ALL in step 3*

, and you press / , all songs in
iPod are played back. If you choose ALL, and you press , the
Album search mode for all artists is activated.
If you choose ALL in step 2*

selected artist are played back. If you choose ALL, and you press ,
the Song search mode for the selected artist is activated.
Artist name search cannot be made during M.I.X. play.

Direct Search Function
The unit’s direct search function can be used to search for an album,
song, etc., more efficiently. In Playlist/Artist/Album/Song mode, you
can quickly target any song.

In the search mode, press any one of the buttons 1
through 6 to quickly jump skip over a designated
percent of your song content.
Song search example:
If there are 100 songs in your iPod, they are divided into 6
groups using percentages (shown below). These groups
are assiged to buttons 1 through 6 on the unit.
Example 1:
Suppose the song you are searching for is located at
around the middle (50%) of your library: press button 4 to
jump to the 50th song and turn the Rotary encoder to find
the song you desire.
Example 2:
Suppose the song you are searching for is located near
the end (83%) of your library: press button 6 to jump to
the 83rd song and turn the Rotary encoder to find song
you desire.
Select Playlist/Artist/Album
Playlist/Artist/Album can be easily changed.
For example, if you listen to a song from a selected album, the album
can be changed.

Press or to select the desired Playlist/Artist/
Album.
If search selection mode is not activated, only Song is searched, this
operation is not possible.
If an album is selected from an artist search, the album can be
searched.
During shuffle (M.I.X.) playback, this operation is not possible.
