PAINTING YOUR ATRIUM
LOUDSPEAKERS
You willneed:
• A spraycan of primerpaint (Krylon SandableSpray Primer
#1318, orequivalent).
• A spraycan of thepaint of yourchoice. Choose exterior
grade paintif you planto use thespeakers outdoors.
• A paperclipor corkscrew (forremoving the paintable
grille) [figure4].
• Masking tape.

To makean easy paintmask, use thegrille as atemplate
and cuta mask fromheavy,nonporous Kraft paper.
POUR PEINDRE VOS
ENCEINTES ATRIUMS
V ousaurez besoin de:
• Peinture d’apprêten aérosol (peinturede fond enaérosol
Krylon #1318ou équivalent).
• Peinture definition de votrechoix en aérosol.Utilisez
une peintured’extérieur si vouscomptez installer les
enceintes àl’extérieur.
• U ntrombone ouun tire-bouchon(pour retirerla grille)[figure 4].
• Duruban-cache.
• Uncache-peinture (non compris)pour protéger lespièces qu’il
ne fautpas peindre. Pourfabriquer facilement uncache-pein-
ture, utilisezla grille commegabarit et découpezle cache-
peinture dansdu papier Kraftnon poreux.
PREPARING TO PAINT:
1. Separate theparts of thespeaker. Remove thebrackets and
bracket knobs.Remove the grilleby carefully hookingit with
a bentpaper clip andpulling it gentlyaway from thecabinet
[figure 4].
2. Mask offthe binding postson the backof the speaker[figure
5], theend panels andbracket knobs, andcarefully mask off
the frontof the speakersto protect thedrivers and baffles
while painting[figure 6]. Thegrille features anengraved
logo pod.Youcan mask thisoff or paintright over it.
PRÉPARATION À LA PEINTURE:

ture [figure6]. Masquez égalementla portion filetéedes bou
tons etdes écrous. Lagrille est dotéed’un logo—vous pouvez
le masquerou le peindre.

PAINTING THE CABINET, BRACKET
KNOBS AND BRACKET:
1. Apply twothin coats ofprimer to thecabinet and knobs.
The bracketdoes not requirea primer.
2. When theprimer is completelydry,apply the finish
color [figure7].
3. When thepaint iscompletely dry, removethe maskingmaterial.
4. Do notreattach the speakerto the bracketuntil the bracket
is mounted.Try to keepall handling offreshly painted parts
to aminimum.
PEINTURE DE L’ENCEINTE, DES SUPPORTS
ET DES BOUTONS DES SUPPORTS:
1. Appliquez deuxminces couches depeinture d’apprêt aux
enceintes etaux boutons. Lesupport ne requiertpas d’apprêt.
2. Lorsque lapeinture d’apprêt estcomplètement sèche,
appliquez lapeinture de finition[figure 7].
3. Lorsque lapeinture de finitionest complètement sèche,
retirez lescache-peinture.
4. Installez lesupport au muravant d’y monterl’enceinte.
Évitez autantque possible demanipuler les pièces
fraîchement peintes.
PAINTING THE GRILLE:
1. The grilleof the Atriumspeaker features aneven, protective
powder coating.This powder coatingis an idealprimer. The
grille featuresan engraved logopod. You canmask this off
or paintright over it.
2. Using spraypaint, spray twothin coats offinish color withno
primer [figure8]. If you’reusing a compressorand spray gun,
use thefinest, most diffusesetting. Be carefulnot to fillthe
holes inthe grille withpaint.
3. When thepaint is completelydry,carefully fit thegrille into
its recessso that itis just restingon the cabinet.Starting
with onecorner, go aroundthe speaker andpush the grille
into thegrille notch alittle bit ata time. Begentle; the grille
may beeasily bent outof shape byrough handling.
PEINTURE DE LA GRILLE :

La grilleest dotée d'unlogo - vouspouvez le masquerou
le peindre.
2. Appliquez deuxminces couches depeinture de finitionen

seur ouun pistolet pulvérisateur,choisissez le réglagele plus
fin, leplus diffus. Assurez-vousde ne pasboucher les trous
de lagrille avec lapeinture.
3. Lorsque la peintureest complètement sèche,posez délicate
ment lagrille sur l’écranacoustique de l’enceinte.En com-
mençant parun coin, poussezpetit à petitla grille dansson
encoche toutautour de l’écran.Soyez délicat, lagrille peut
être facilementtordue.
