Display assembly
All display assemblies include two WLAN antenna transceivers and cables and two WWAN antenna
transceivers and cables.

Before removing the display assembly, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet,
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see
Battery on page 39).
5. Remove the hard drive cover (see
Hard drive on page 41).
6. Disconnect the wireless antenna cables from the WLAN module (see
WLAN module
on page 43) and the WWAN module (see WWAN module on page 46).
7. Remove the following components:
a. Keyboard (see
Keyboard on page 48)
b. Top cover (see
Top cover on page 51)
Remove the display assembly:
1. Position the computer upside down, with the rear toward you.
2. Remove the two Torx TM2.0×5.0 screws that secure the hinge cover to the computer.
