Remote control
Problem
The remote control does
not work nor function
properly.
Cause
Wrong distance or angle.
Direct sunlight or lighting (from an
inverter type of fluorescent lamp, etc.) is
striking the remote control sensor of this
unit.
The batteries are weak.
The manufacture code has not correctly
set.
Even if the manufacturer code is correctly
set, there are some models that do not
respond to the remote control.
Remedy
The remote control will function within a
maximum range of 6 m (20 feet) and no more
than 30 degrees off-axis from the front panel.
Reposition this unit.
Replace all batteries.
Set the manufacturer code correctly.
Try setting another code of the same manufac-
turer.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Resetting the factory presets
If you want to reset all of your unit’s parameters for any
reason, do the following. This procedure completely
resets ALL parameters, including the SET MENU, level
and tuner presets.
Be sure this unit is in standby mode.
1 Hold down STEREO on the front panel and
press STANDBY/ON.
“FACTORY PRESET” appears in the front panel
display.

To cancel the initialization procedure without making any
changes, press STANDBY/ON.
2 Press STEREO to select the desired setting.
Reset To reset the unit to its factory presets.
Cancel To cancel without making any changes.
3 Press STANDBY/ON to confirm your
selection.
If you selected “Reset”, the unit is reset to its factory
presets and switches to standby mode.
If you selected “Cancel”, the unit switches to standby
mode and nothing is reset.
