Mains supply and safety
Important notice to UK users
Mains Supply:
Power Cord:
The mains operating voltage of all Audiolab units is
shown on the rear panel. If this does not match the voltage in your area,
consultyourdealer.
The mains supply fuse is located on the rear panel of the unit. If it has
broken, check for any obviouscause beforereplacing the fusewith one of
thecorrectratingand type.The fusevaluesare:
220-240V(UK, Korea,etc.) T2.5AL 20mm SlowBlow
100-120V(USA,Japan,etc) T4.0AL 20mm SlowBlow
The fuse is located in a slide-in
carrier which also contains a spare
fuse. The fuse carrier can only be
pulled outafter theIEC powercord is
unplugged. When the carrier is
openedthe firstfuseto beseen isthe
spare fuse. Remove and safely
dispose of the fuse with the blown
linkbeforereplacingit.
ClassII constructiondoubleinsulated. Thisproductmust notbe
connectedtoearth.
An AC power cord is normally supplied with a mains plug
suitable for your area. If you have any doubts, consult your dealer about
obtainingasuitablepower cord.
The appliance cord is terminated with a UK approved mains plug fitted
with a5A fuse.If the fuse needsto be replaced,an ASTA or BSIapproved
BS1362 fuse rated at 5A must be used. If youneed to change the mains
plug, remove the fuse and dispose of this plug safely immediately after
cuttingitfromthecord.
Connecting a Mains Plug
Thewiresinthemainsleadarecolouredinaccordancewith thecode:
Blue:NEUTRAL; Brown:LIVE:
As these colours may not correspond to the coloured markings identifying
theterminalsinyourplug,proceedasfollows:
The BLUE wiremust beconnected
to the terminal marked with the
letter N or coloured BLUE or
BLACK. The BROWN wire must be
connected tothe terminalmarked
with the letter L or coloured
BROWNorRED.

A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A
grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The
widerblade orthe thirdprong areprovidedfor yoursafety. Iftheprovided
plug doesnot fitinto youroutlet, consultan electricianfor replacementof
theobsoleteoutlet.
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at
plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the
apparatus.
Useonlyattachments/accessoriesspecified bythemanufacturer.
Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table
specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus.
When a cart is used, use caution when moving the
cart/apparatuscombinationtoavoid injuryfromtip-over.
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long
periodsoftime.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required
when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-
supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have
fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or
moisture,doesnotoperate normally,orhas beendropped.
To reduce the risk offire or electricalshock, do not exposethis
product to rain or moisture. The product must notbe exposed to dripping
and splashing and no object filled with liquids such as a vase of flowers

If the output terminals are connected together or there
is ashort causedby afaulty speakeror connectinglead, the amplifierwill muteand
un-muteuntilthefaultcondition isremoved.
If thereis an internalor external faultwhich may causeDC
voltage to bepresented tothe loudspeaker,the amplifierwill mute andstay muted
untilthefaultisremoved.
If the amplifier is driven excessively for long periods, or the
output devices are pushed beyond their safe operating area, the amplifier will
switchoffandthenswitch backon againwhen ithascooled down.
