Playing CD/VIDEO CD
tracks in a favorite
order
–– Program Play
You can make a program of up to 20 tracks on a
CD/VIDEO CD in any order that you want. After
setting the order, you can also make a
synchronized tape recording of the tracks (see
page 31). The PBC functions of VIDEO CD (Ver.
2.0) are disabled during Program Play.

1 Press CD.
“CD” appears.
2 Press PLAY MODE repeatedly until
“PGM” appears.
3 Press CD . or CD > repeatedly
until the desired track number appears.

4 Press PLAY MODE.
The selected track is programmed. “STEP”
appears, followed by the number of the
selection just programmed.
5 To program additional tracks, repeat
steps 3 and 4.
6 Press CD u.
Program Play starts. The tracks play in the
order that they were programmed.
To cancel Program Play
Press PLAY MODE repeatedly until “PGM”
disappears.

Tips
• The program you made remains in the system’s
memory until you turn off the system or remove the
disc. After the program finishes, press CD u to
play the program again.
• When the total playing time of the programmed
tracks exceeds 100 minutes, “- - . - -” appears in the
display.
• If you try to program more than 20 tracks,
“PGM FULL” appears in the display.
