Connectinga Microphone
YoucanconnecteithertheMKE4012(cardioidcharacteristic)ortheMKE
2012(omnidirectionalcharacteristic)to thetransmitter'smicrophoneinput
socket.Ofthesetwoplug-inmicrophonestheMKE4012 is morestrongly
recommended,asitsexcellentdirectionalefficiencyincreasesthe
intelligibility01speechinnoisysurroundings.Itisrecommendedthat
thewlndscreensuppliedwiththemlcrophoneshouldalwaysbeused,in
orderto preventwindandpopnoises.

ConnectingAudioEquipment
Shouldyouwishto inputaudiosignalsIromatapedeckor cassette
recordertothetransmitter,inadditionto thespakenword,thenyoucan
connecttheseunitsto the3.5mmphonosocket2. IIa microphoneisalso
connecteditisswitchedoffautomaticallywhenyouinsertajackintothe
phonosocket.
II possibleusetherecord/playbacksocketwhenyouareconnectingyour
cassetterecorderortapedeckto thetransmitter.IIonlya headphonesor
loudspeakersocketisavailable,thenpleasenotethatthephonoinputis
onlydesignedlor audiosignalvoltagesbetween75 mVand1.5V.IIthis
voltageisexceededlor abriefperiodtheoverloadislevelledoutbyahigh-
qualitylimitingamplilier.Evenso,suchoverloadsshouldbekeptto an
absoluteminimum.Youcanreducethe inputlevelbyturningdownthe
volumecontrolonyourcassetterecorderortapedeck.
