Pioneer DRM-1004V40 Stereo System User Manual

Simultaneous Multi-Drive Access
For high-demand data library and archive situations, Pioneer offers DRM-
1004V40 models with up to four disc drives, this allows several users to
access the database at the same time.
Versatile Server/Network Compatibility
Using third-party software, the DRM-1004V40 can be easily integrated into
all popular network environments including Windows NT, SUN, HP and SGI
servers to support wide-ranging data retrieval, imaging and archival
applications.
Automatic Disc Inventory
The DRM-1004V40 incorporates a built-in non-volatile memory which
automatically inventories each magazine. The feature eliminates the risk of
inserting discs into an occupied slot, therefore preventing the risk of disc
damage.
Rugged Reliability and Amazing Versatility
Designed to ensure reliable operation in heavy-use environments, the DRM-
1004V40 has achieved an MSBF rating of 2.5 million disc swaps.
Furthermore, the drive is read compatible with all current DVD-ROM and
CD-ROM discs.
Super-Fast 2.6X DVD-ROM Drive
Pioneer has designed the DRM-1004V40 to read out data from DVD-ROM
discs at a speed of 3.5 MB/s, or 2.6 times the standard DVD-ROM rate. In
addition, this autochanger is capable of reading CD-ROM discs at a
sustained data transfer rate of 3 MB/s, which is a full 20 times the standard
CD-ROM rate.
