You can use this unit to control an XM satellite
digital tuner (GEX-P920XM), which is sold
separately.
For details concerning operation, refer to the
XM tuner’s operation manuals. This section
provides information on XM operations with
this unit which differs from that described in
the XM tuner’s operation manual.
! With this unit, you can operate two addi-
tional functions: XM channel direct selec-
tion and preset channel list.
1 XM band indicator
Shows the XM band which has been
selected.
2 XM preset number indicator
Shows what XM preset has been selected.
3 XM channel select setting indicator
Shows what channel select setting has
been selected. CH is displayed when
Channel number is selected, and CAT is
displayed when Category is selected.
4 XM channel number indicator
Shows to which XM channel number the
tuner is tuned.
5 XM text information
Shows the text information of broadcast
channel.
1 Press SOURCE to select the XM.
Press SOURCE until you see XM displayed.
2 Press BAND to select a XM band.
Press BAND repeatedly until the desired XM
band is displayed, XM-1, XM-2 or XM-3.
3 To perform tuning, push
MULTI-CONTROL left or right.
The channels move up or down step by step.
Channels that cannot currently be selected
are skipped, and the next channel is selected.
# If you push and hold MULTI-CONTROL left or
right, you can increase or decrease channel num-
ber continuously.
# You can also perform tuning from a desired
channel category. (Refer to Selecting a channel in
the channel category on page 44.)
Selecting an XM channel
directly
You can select an XM channel directly by en-
tering the desired channel number.
1 Press DIRECT on the remote control.
CHANNEL INPUT appears in the display.
2 Use 0–9 on the remote control to input
the desired channel number.
# To cancel the input numbers, press CLEAR on
the remote control.
3 While the input number is displayed,
press DIRECT on the remote control.
The entered XM channel is selected.
