OPERATION
SETTING THE OFF STATE OF THE CONNECTED COMPONENT
Operating the CS12V is a simple matter of setting the “OFF” state of the connected component.
Many components exhibit a small current draw even when they’re turned off. To calibrate the
CS12V to properly account for this residual current draw:
1. Make sure the component is plugged into the current sensing outlet of the CS12V and
is turned off.
2. Using a small jewelers screwdriver press the recessed “Idle Current Detect” button
until the Active light illuminates, flashes twice, and goes off
(Figure 6).
The CS12V will automatically detect the current draw of the connected component in its “OFF”
state. Whenever the connected source component is turned on the CS12V will sense the current
draw of the unit and activate the 12VDC 200mA output.
SELECTING THE 12V DC TRIGGER TURN ON DELAY
In certain system designs, it may be desirable to delay the triggering of a device (i.e., waiting for
a video projector to activate before dropping the screen). The CS12V provides three delay settings
(Figure 7). The turn on delay is set by simply moving the “delay” switch to the desired position.
THESE POSITIONS ARE:
Position 1: 0 seconds,
Position 2: 5 second delay before trigger is activated
Position 3: 10 second delay before trigger is activated
