to turn the unit on; the IR/Standby
indicator will turn off.

MANUAL TUNING: Repeatedly
press the Tune/Skip/Search n 1
or o 2 button to manually
advance the frequency in the
display up or down until the
desired frequency appears.

Press the TUNER/BAND button 1
to select AM or FM. If listening to
FM, select the Stereo or Mono by
pressing the FM MODE button 2.
NOTE: Noise present while
listening in Stereo can be reduced
by pressing the FM MODE button
2 to select Mono.

Press the TUNER/BAND Function
button to select the radio.

AUTOMATIC TUNING: Press
and hold the Tune/Skip/Search n
1 or o 2 button until the
frequency in the display starts to
scan, and then release the button;
the tuner will search and then
stop on the next strong station it
finds. Repeat this step until the
desired frequency appears in the
display.

Adjust the EQ button 1 and
VOLUME buttons 2 as desired.
NOTE: If the FM STEREO band
is selected and you have tuned to
an FM Stereo station, STEREO
will light in the display.

Hints for Better Reception
The AM and FM antennas are located inside the unit. It may be necessary to turn the unit slightly for the best
reception. You may have to experiment to find the position that provides the strongest reception for each of
your favorite stations.
